Bioheat® Fuel: Cleaner and Greener than Ever!

Great news! As of July 1, 2025, clean, green Bioheat® fuel became even cleaner and greener! On that date, the minimum Bioheat blend in New York State went up from B5 (5% biodiesel) to B10 (10% biodiesel). Now you can truly be confident that, more than ever, with Bioheat® fuel, you’re not only keeping your home comfortable but also helping to ensure a cleaner and brighter future for all!

As you may already know, the biodiesel component in Bioheat® fuel is made from renewable resources such as soybean oil, peanut oil, animal fats and other byproducts of local agriculture. But did you also know that hundreds of establishments, including American restaurant chains, have begun recycling used cooking oil to be refined into Bioheat® fuel?

It has been reported that waste cooking oil from McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, and other establishments has been turned into biodiesel fuel that is used to create Bioheat® fuel. It’s good to know that even though your fast-food lunch might go to your waist, the oil it was cooked in won’t go to waste!
