NYSEC and the 1010 Wins/Bioheat® Coat Drive
With Bioheat® fuel, we help protect our environment – New York City, Long Island and Earth. This winter, we held our annual coat drive in conjunction with the 1010 Wins/Bioheat® Coat Drive to help those in need within the five boroughs. NYSEC's member dealers have been helping by collecting coats from family members, employees and customers, and we’re pleased to say that the coat drive has been a huge success so far – we’ve collected over 1,500 coats, and we’re still counting!
NYSEC is just one of the many companies who has gotten involved with the 1010 Wins/Bioheat® Coat Drive. Now in its fourth year, the drive has collected coats from schools on Long Island and businesses throughout the city, collecting over 60,000 coats in December and working toward a goal of 125,000 coats throughout the entire drive. Everyone is getting in on helping those in need stay warm!
There’s still time to donate your lightly used winter coats! Please see the list of drop off locations below for the month of February:
2/21 – Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill, Brooklyn – Smith Street/Bergan Street (near F & G Trains and B57 Bus)
2/22 – Howard Beach, Queens – Cross Bay Boulevard near 159th Street (Q21, Q41 Buses)
2/23 – Borough Park, Brooklyn – 18th Avenue/65th Street (near B8 Bus)
2/24 – Upper West Side, Manhattan – Broadway between 94th/95th Streets (near 1, 2 & 3 Trains)
If you can’t get to the drop locations, you may contact coats@wins.com to ask that the Bioheat® van comes to you to pick up your donation. We’d like to wholeheartedly thank our member dealers and their friends, families, employees and customers for donating to a worth cause, as well as all of the New Yorkers who came together to make this coat drive a success.
